The spec

What a second implementation in another language would be held to: the state format, the id scheme, the replication protocol, and the changelog of every normative change. The conformance fixtures are in spec/fixtures.

  • aweft state format, v0: Status: draft. Normative, and not yet frozen.

  • aweft identity, v0: Status: draft. Normative for the parts marked so; the encoding is open.

  • aweft replication protocol, v1: Status: not frozen. No deployed implementation depends on it yet. Changes go in spec/CHANGELOG.md. v1 replaces v0 whole: v0 had a host and a client, and this protocol has two equal ends (design 053).

  • Format changelog: Append-only. Every change to a normative statement or a fixture gets an entry.
